Enjoy contesting at NQ4I since it gives me a chance to exercise my cw and contesting skills, an opportunity I don't frequently get at home for various reasons, one of which is lack of space for a decent antenna farm. It's also an opportunity to meet, socialize and work with fellow hams from various parts of the world. Besides, Rick makes a great lasagna and serves world class breakfasts which you can eat one handed while you run JA's on 40 and 80!

Other than many "Firsts" in State QSO Parties, the only first place achievements I can recall were First Place - CW - Georgia - 10meter ARRL Test and First Place - Georgia - 160 Meter ARRL Test - CW - Low Power. I suspect the other contestants forgot to submit their logs those years, but what the heck, I've got some wallpaper!
